Lajula Maharjan has been practicing commercial law since 2014 and is currently a Principal Associate at Pioneer Law Associates, where she has been part of the corporate team since 2018. She regularly advises clients on diverse transactional matters including foreign investment, project finance, and corporate compliance. Her work spans legal due diligence, acquisitions, foreign loan investments, share transfers, technology transfers, preparation of legal opinions, and drafting and reviewing a wide range of corporate agreements. She also represents clients in commercial litigation on behalf of both local and international companies.
She completed her LL.M. in Business and International Trade Law (2016) and her LL.B. (2014) from Kathmandu School of Law, Purbanchal University. Lajula has been recognized by Chambers and Partners as an “Associate to Watch” for her expertise in corporate law.
As a member and immediate past president of the Young Lawyers Association Nepal, she is committed to advancing the interests of young legal professionals, promoting capacity-building initiatives, and fostering an inclusive platform for professional growth, mentorship, and advocacy.
Her specialization lies in business and international trade law, with a focus on foreign direct investment, corporate compliance, energy, project finance, and consumer protection. She also has a strong interest in dispute resolution and legal and regulatory reforms.
