
The Young Lawyers Association of Nepal (YLAN) successfully conducted a Contract Drafting Workshop from 15 to 17 Jestha 2081 at Union House, Anamnagar. The workshop was designed to enhance participants’ practical legal drafting skills through hands-on training and interactive sessions led by experienced practitioners. A total of 30 participants took part in the program, representing a diverse group of young legal professionals eager to strengthen their expertise in contract law and drafting practices.
The three-day workshop covered a range of essential topics relevant to modern legal practice. On Day 1, Advocate Narayan Chaulagain, Managing Partner at Infinity and Partners, delivered an in-depth session on Share Purchase Agreements, Shareholders’ Agreements, Governance Rights, Indemnities, and Dispute Settlement Clauses. On Day 2, Advocate Rajeshwor Shrestha, Partner at Sinha Verma Law Concern, discussed Management Service Agreements, Technology Transfer Agreements, Liability and Indemnity, Termination, and Dispute Resolution Mechanisms. On Day 3, Ms. Lajula Maharjan, President at YLAN served as the resource person, guiding participants through Founders’ Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Conditions Precedent, Boilerplate Clauses, Signature Blocks, and Annexes. The program reflected YLAN’s ongoing commitment to advancing the professional growth of young legal practitioners through capacitybuilding and exposure to practical, industryoriented legal education. The Association extends its appreciation to all resource persons, participants, and collaborators whose engagement made the workshop a resounding success.
