Suraj Dhakal is a dedicated legal professional specializing in criminal law, commercial law, and corporate consultancy. With an LL.M. in Criminal and Commercial Law from Nepal Law Campus, Tribhuvan University, and an MBA from Lincoln University, Malaysia, he bridges the gap between law and business, offering strategic legal solutions to individuals, corporations, and government entities.
As the Managing Partner at Lex Senate & Associates, Suraj provides expert counsel on corporate litigation, contract law, regulatory compliance, and foreign direct investment (FDI) documentation. He has also played a crucial role in drafting legal frameworks, preparing contracts for major hydropower projects, and advising businesses on governance and risk management.
Beyond legal practice, Suraj is a passionate educator. He serves as a Vice Principal and lecturer of Jurisprudence at Tech Law College, Kathmandu. His commitment to academia reflects his dedication to shaping future legal professionals.
Suraj has actively contributed to legal policy development in Nepal. He was instrumental in drafting key MoUs for the Nepal Government, participating in high-level legal workshops on federalization, governance, and crisis management, and presenting research on human rights and migration law at international conferences.
